The ODP Corporation · Senior UX Designer · 2021 – 2024

A division split, powered by design: 2,000 accounts in month one.

When ODP split its business, I spearheaded the UX workstream that helped launch ODP Business Solutions — coordinating design across three business units and shipping the experiences that drove immediate B2B account growth.

Objective

Enable a successful division split and scale a new B2B business unit through design leadership.

Outcome

2,000 new accounts in the first month of the division launch.

Success looked like

A functioning multi-unit design practice across Veyer, ODP Business Solutions, and Office Depot; on-site search enhancements driving a 40% improvement in customer satisfaction; durable vendor partnerships feeding innovation.

Three business units, one designer's bandwidth

For 14 months I managed UX design across three critical business units — Veyer (supply chain), ODP Business Solutions (B2B), and Office Depot (B2C). Each had different customers, economics, and executives who believed their priorities came first. My job was making the calls about where design effort would move the business most, and defending those calls with evidence.

Search as a growth lever

I applied a mobile-first audit methodology — combining usability testing, heuristic evaluation via the Tenets and Traps framework, and Baymard e-commerce best practices — to identify and prioritize the friction killing conversion. On-site search enhancements alone drove a 40% improvement in customer satisfaction scores, and the mobile-first approach lifted organic visibility.

Relationships as infrastructure

I built and maintained relationships with executive stakeholders and third-party vendors that outlived any single project — the partnerships that made new ODP Business Solutions capabilities possible.

Ask me about making priority calls when three business units all believe they come first.
